Ocean Wonder is an owner run service that offers boat based Ocean Wildlife Encounters. These intimate trips don't follow any set route. Instead, I'm guided by my understanding and ongoing observation of this environment, the creatures in it, and the ever changing water and weather conditions. These trips are all about finding and, where possible and legal, interacting with some of the amazing creatures that frequent the rich waters around Cape Town.

Some people told me not to go, because it is not the specific season for watching wales around capetown. But I love the ocean, nevertheless I did the ocean tour with PAUL, who really did everything, made us enjoying that trip so much!!! He explained nature situations and relations and everything around. And he is the one, who has an eye for ocean and nature and so he naturally finds the whales... we saw seven of them, seals, special birds and so on. Thank you for that great evening on the ocean with those amazing creatures!

Relaxing and interesting
Wide ranging tour of the Atlantic with many sightings. Dusky and heavyside dolphins, seals, yearling humpback whales, seals, penguins, the works. Paul is an excellent guide!

Myself and my family enjoyed every bit of the trip, from watching the dolphins 🐬 dancing in the ocean, the Seals 🦭in joyful spirits, the Whale chase and spotting, listening to Seals 🦭 laughing using an underwater microphone and learning a lot about the Ocean Wildlife from the Captain, Paul Lipschitz. I Highly recommend for an unforgettable experience & breathtaking views around the coast 💯

We loved the ocean experience so much that we came back again and it won't be our last time either.
Excellent service, great price and a world class experience for this bucket list adventure!

Saw 100s of seals and dolphins and humpback whales on both occasions.

Highly recommend Paul and Ocean Wonder.

Paul is a passionate and incredibly knowledgeable guide who goes out of his way to care for the marine wildlife whilst ensuring his guests have a great experience. I also had a small child with me and Paul made an extra special effort to make sure he was okay throughout the journey - checking in with him and even sharing his snacks when my son became hungry! My son meanwhile got to see dolphins, whales, seals and sunfish up close for the first time in his young life and gave the experience a big thumbs up at the end. Thanks to Paul, my son’s first ever sea trip was exhilarating and inspiring and he is now hungry for more! Thank you.

Amazing Ocean experience

We had a wonderful experience with Ocean wonder and our guide Paul. It was great to see all the different animals like seals, penguins, dolphins, sunfish and even whales on the one side. And on the other side Paul gave us some very interesting information about the ocean's wildlife.
We recommend this trip to everyone!

Yet again an amazing ocean safari with Paul from Ocean Wonder!!
Paul, the owner of Ocean Wonder, goes out of his way to find the wildlife in the ocean. On our first trip in August 2019, we didn’t see whales, but we did find a huge pod of dolphins (next to penguins and seals). This trip, we have seen penguins, seals, various dolphin species, sunfish and a supergroup of humpback whales! It was absolutely amazing and Paul’s knowledge is such a help as well. I would recommend Paul and his Ocean Wonders tour to anyone over any other tour you can do on the waters around Cape Town.

What a lovely experience! Paul is a wealth of knowledge and is extremely passionate about all things within the ocean. What I appreciated most was his respect for the wildlife, he always kept his distance allowing the wildlife to approach us which ultimately led to amazing sightings. We saw 3 different species of dolphins, seals, penguins, sunfish and a huge pod of humpback whales. All in all a wonderful experience!!! Will definitely do it again when I’m back in Cape Town.
